Fresh Tracks is Coming to the Southwest!
Fresh Tracks is excited to offer a Midwest training in Abiquiú, New Mexico. For three days, we’ll engage in cultural sharing, leadership development, and outdoor exploration with participants and trainers from all over the Southwest and Intermountain region.
Applying For This Training Expedition
Diverse young leaders ages 18-25 from rural, urban and tribal communities in Arizona, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Texas are invited to apply. Participants from other neighboring states will be considered on a case by case basis. To apply for the Fresh Tracks Southwest and Intermountain Training Abiquiú, New Mexico, visit the application page. Please note, participation includes a commitment to attend the full training from Friday to Sunday.
Registrations for the Southwest and Intermountain Training are due September 7th at 12:00 PM MTN Time.
Fresh Tracks At a Glance
All Fresh Tracks training expeditions bring together participants from urban, rural, and tribal, and indigenous communities from around the country for three days of skill development in civic engagement and cultural understanding enriched by outdoor excursions close to our host cities. Fresh Tracks empowers young leaders from different communities to build personal narratives, develop personal leadership plans, and practice the skills to build bridges across cultures. Guest speakers representing national youth development organizations, universities, and businesses will share their stories and offer guidance on how to turn a vision for change into a reality.
All accepted applicants receive travel scholarships. Meals and lodging are including in the training at no cost.
The Southwest and Intermountain Training will begin Friday, September 14th at 1:00 pm and conclude at 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 16th. For more details on the training, including information about activities and workshops.
