Fresh Tracks is Coming to the Midwest!

Fresh Tracks is excited to offer a Midwest training at the Dunes Learning Center (near Chicago). For three days, we’ll engage in cultural sharing, leadership development, and exploration in the heart of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, less than an hour from Chicago.

Registering For This Training Expedition

Diverse young leaders ages 18-25 from rural, urban and tribal communities in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, and Wisconsin are invited to apply. Participants from other neighboring states will be considered on a case by case basis. To register for the Fresh Tracks Midwest Training at Dunes Learning Center, visit the registration page.

Registrations for the Midwest Training are due August 3rd.

Fresh Tracks At a Glance

All Fresh Tracks training expeditions bring together participants from urban, rural, and tribal, and indigenous communities from around the country for three days of skill development in civic engagement and cultural understanding enriched by outdoor excursions close to our host cities. Fresh Tracks empowers young leaders from different communities to build personal narratives, develop personal leadership plans, and practice the skills to build bridges across cultures. Guest speakers representing national youth development organizations, universities, and businesses will share their stories and offer guidance on how to turn a vision for change into a reality.

Scholarships 

All accepted applicants receive travel scholarships. Meals and lodging are including in the training at no cost.

Schedule 

The Midwest Training will begin Friday, August 10th at 1:00 pm and conclude at 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 12th. For more details on the training, including information about activities and workshops.
